Hometown Post

Hello readers! As you may already know I am from Cold Spring, Minnesota, which is a small town in central Minnesota that has very few options for restaurants. The town has a few big brand restaurants like Dairy Queen or Subway, but what I consider the best restaurants in town are the small family owned restaurant, with classic home cooked meals, so lets dive into three restaurants in Cold Spring that are a little piece of heaven.

Cold Spring Bakery

The Cold Spring Bakery has been serving costumers for over 71 years, and is all family owned. They specialize in wedding cakes for their award winning designs, but they also make cookies, bread, and most importantly donuts. Everyone in town knows how spectacularly good their donuts are and people crave them from all parts of Minnesota. They are a little piece of heaven that everyone has to experience at least once in their life.

Marnanteli's Pizza

Marnateli's Pizza is not just pizza, it has a full menu from burgers to soup to spaghetti, they have been in town since 1985 and is the place where everyone goes to eat when parents do not feel like cooking. It is a very family friendly restaurant with anything and everything on the menu. It is the main place where teens go after a football game, or after early outs. To top it off the atmosphere is great with an outside sitting area. You could be there for hours and not even know it because of all the fun conversations you are having. It truly is a sit down family restaurant is amazing pizza and fantastic food.

Red River Inn

Established in 1895 the Red River Inn Family Dining has been a place for people who cannot get enough of breakfast and also serves lunch. Growing up it was the main place where my family went to eat pancakes and crispy hash browns for breakfast. It has classic menu items that many enjoy eating at, and elderly people love to talk over a hot cup of coffee in the morning.
