A Fancy Meal Fit for A King/Queen

Grilled Lobster Tail

Ingredients:
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice ($2.09 @Target)
Lemon juice is very inexpensive. It can be found almost anywhere for cheep. I always get the lemon juice instead of a real lemon because it lasts longer to use.

  • 1/2 C olive oil ($3.52 @ Amazon)
Pompeian Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 24 Ounce
Olive oil can come in many different forms. This was one of the cheapest ones I could find, and lets be honest they all taste the same.
  • 1 tsp salt ($0.89 @ Target)
Morton Iodized Salt - 26oz
Oh my goodness, I never though salt was this cheap, so anywhere you go your going to get a great price range. It is a lot of bang for your buck!
  • 1 tsp paprika ($2.98 @ Walmart)
McCormick Paprika - 2.12oz
Spices, Spices, Spices, there are some many for this recipe. I assume that many of you already have these at home but if not they are very inexpensive for the quantity they give you.
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper ($3.35 @ Amazon)
McCormick Ground White Pepper, 1 oz
I have honestly never heard of this, so I am not sure what the price range should be. It seems inexpensive but if you look harder I bet it could be found for cheaper.
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder ($3.69 @ Target)
McCormick Garlic Powder - 3.12oz
This one could be a little less expensive, but the brand McCormick is my go to brand so I choice it instead of a less expensive spice. Every spice matters in this recipe.
  • 2 lobster tails (10 oz) ($31.00 @ Lobster Trap Company for 12-14 oz)
12-14 oz. Jumbo Lobster Tail
The most expensive thing you will be paying for in this recipe! Wow, but it is sea food so it is going to be a little pricier than other meats. Splurge a lot for a fantastic recipe and a great meal to enjoy.

Total Cost: $47.52

  1. Preheat grill for high heat.
  2. Squeeze lemon juice into a small bowl, and slowly whisk in olive oil. Whisk in salt, paprika, white pepper, and garlic powder. Split lobster tails lengthwise with a large knife, and brush flesh side of tail with marinade.
  3. Lightly oil grill grate. Place tails, flesh side down, on preheated grill. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, and basting frequently with marinade. Discard any remaining marinade. Lobster is done when opaque and firm to the touch.
  4. If you would like a side fore the lobster tails garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus would go great here is a link to the recipes, happy cooking!
